THE LEARNING SESSIONS

Next-D (Novartis Exchange Talent program for Digital) is an acceleration project that aims to strengthen the digital skills of high-potential profiles, identified with a digital readiness assessment.

During the first edition (January 2020), the classroom teaching was designed for a 2-week bootcamp span and developed in "out of office" lectures, with teachers from the world of digital business and selected by Smartive and by 24Ore Business school.

 PROJECT WORKS

Project works strongly characterize all Smartive training and run through the entire NextD bootcamp. They are organized in 3 steps:

Definition of the challenges, starting from the Novartis needs (portals for patients, adoption of AI in support of filed force, etc.)

Development of a project with various possible levels of finalization (feasibility only, interface prototyping, etc.), with the use of agile techniques, design thinking and the support of Smartive facilitators.

Final pitches on the closing day of the bootcamp, in the presence of the company management

COVID-19: NEXT-D AND
THE HYBRID EDITION

In the September 2020 edition, due to the health emergency, the program and the development of the project were adapted to the needs, through a hybrid use both in presence and remotely. Materials, kits, the entire available space and activities have been reviewed according to the rules and protocols to ensure the safety of all participants, while maintaining the training effectiveness of the program.

COVID-19: NEXT-D AND THE REMOTE EDITIONS

With the persistence of the emergency, in the editions of January and May 2021, the program was completely remodeled for remote use, distributing the activities in remote micro training sessions.

ONLINE FOLLOW UP

To ensure continuity and support for the acquisition of skills, follow-up activities have been planned in the weeks following the bootcamp. These sessions allow participants to deepen the key digital issues that have only been mentioned in the classroom and in the e-learning pills.

Participants also have the opportunity to apply in practice what they have learned in theory: from the definition and understanding of problems to the design and testing of solutions. Through a dedicated app, in fact, they can manage, with the facilitation of Smartive, a collaborative area with which users can develop projects.

E-LEARNING

The Bootcamp path is integrated with a series of introductory digital content. Further in-depth training moduleswere uploaded after the Bootcamp to support the participants in the development of the projects. All contentwas made available on the 24Ore Business School e-learning platform with the creation of a personalized area for the bootcamp, personalized accounts for each participant and on-demand use from mobile or desktop devices.
